Biography
Gerbrant Ferckes van Aytta, died in 1484 (about 4 months before the Birth of his youngest son Folckert) and was buried at Swichem (?), he was a son of Ferck Folckerts van Aytta and Syts Buchodr van Hemricksein. In 1440 he is a farmer at Roordahuizum at the farm Idsingastate. From his marriage with Jets there were 10 children; 4 sons and 6 daughters. Gerbrant also had a natural son (bastaard, illegitimate) named Jouw [1]Jouw in Grouw left behind a son Gerben and a daughter Aet, she had two children Aucke and Jouw who where living with Folckert Aytta, her father's legitimate brother. - Gerbrant married about 1465 Jets Wytzesdr van Buckama, born about 1448, died at Roordahuizum 2 (?) May 1528, and was buried at Swichem daughter of Wytze van Buckama and Mintz Jetzesdr Schutsma. [1]
